Who I am
- Previously COO of Tabs — a top-10 most viral brand on the internet
- Founded Mainstreet, a consumer home-services platform: a team of 70, $25M raised (Greylock, Khosla, YC, Tim Ferriss) — and it failed
- Led D2C launches for a founder with a $XXXM exit and a founder who exited to Snapchat
- Before that: an early seat at a high-growth startup, and entrepreneur-in-residence at Prehype
- I'm looking to move into growth specifically — the creative and top-of-funnel is the work I want to be doing every day
What I built
- A new landing page
- A bench of ten ad concepts, tested against five buyer personas built from real ad comments, returns data, and reviews
- The growth plan — one number to protect ($120 CAC) and two tests that can't be confounded
- The requisite variety framework — a capability standing ready for every way the plan can break, so CAC holds inside its band
- The first week — kill rules written before launch: creative judged at 72 hours, CAC only after 50 purchases
- A claim library — so compliance signs the library, not each ad
Why WOWCube
- It's a genuinely cool product.
- The product works.
- So the job isn't fixing anything — it's getting the word out.
- That's the part I'm best at and the part I actually enjoy.
What I'd do here
- My KPI: scale ad spend, hold target CAC. Everything else follows from that.
- Week to week: launching a bunch of different experiments — see week one
- Build whatever capability is blocking the KPI, in the order it blocks us. Losers killed early.
- Scope and brief the work for UGC creators, then keep a hook library of what won.
- Reporting so you never have to ask. Daily CAC and activation. Weekly what we learned. Monthly cohort payback.
- I can run ads across channels — podcasts, Apple Search, YouTube — but I'd start on Meta and only open the next one when CAC earns it.
- Event tracking implementation I'd spec and work through with your team — that part isn't me.
